with empathy it should soon be your heroes turn again, at this point you're free to bless/prayer or the likes but usually I just attack, hero attacks with deep freeze should be a couple of thousand each. Instead of shooting use Chain Attack on a ranged creature, 50% of your turn spent and you now have two sources of stunning strike. When its your heroes first actual turn I recommend using Imbue Arrow on Deep Freeze, the target takes additional damage and procs frozen from Master of Ice. Make sure to always act with your units and not use "wait" so you can trigger the morale effect to bump your hero further along the turn timer and so knock the enemies further back. So now your hero attacks delay the enemy's turn, you get a free one at the start of combat to knock a pesky ranged back. Guaranteed freeze and a flat 10% damage increase for your creatures, as well as defense shred on fire spells. Mana is a limiting factor anyhow.Įxpert Destruction - Master of Ice, Master of Fire, Fiery Wrath While extra imbues are neat losing your heroes place in the turn order is not worth the trade-off, better to opt out of the minor damage the ballista offers. Note that Arcane Avenger is decieving, you are not to have a ballista in your army as you get this skill. I personally don't like the favoured enemy limit on Rain and pot for Arcane Avenger. Could be swapped but is a big damage loss.Įxpert Combat - Chain Attack, Stunning Strike, Martial ArtsĬhain attack works wonders with a ranged or provoke no retaliation unit, and stunning strike is the final piece in that it knocks people back in initiate, Martial Arts offers extra damage for your hero.Įxpert Luck - Soldier's Luck, Critical Hit, Magic Resistance Ranged units are king in HoMM, Retribution gives you extra synergy with morale. Empathy is the winner here, having your hero able to act more often through good morale is key.Įxpert Offense - Archery, Battle Frezy, RetributionĪll here increases your damage. Prayer's a good early game buff for your creatures, though I feel it's not worth a turn in late-game. Try to get expert light magic and Divine Guardians for extra dragons as well.Īs for Findan's primary skills you'll want offense, combat, leadership, luck and destructive magic. For a secondary hero to govern your city if you can get Tieru for the extra resources you're set. So why Findan of all Sylvan heroes? Findan's special trait gives him a free shot at the start of combat and his attack increases by 2% per hero level making him more than a wet noodle.
